NABA Announces Key Leadership Appointments

The North American Blockchain Association (NABA) is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals to key leadership positions within the organization. Jessi Goostree has been named Executive Director, while Wade Preston will serve as Director of Community Outreach.
Jessi Goostree Appointed as Executive Director
Jessi Goostree brings over 17 years of experience in financial services and blockchain technology to her new role as Executive Director. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Texas Blockchain Council, Goostree has demonstrated a proven track record of delivering impactful strategies that shape the future of the digital economy.
Prior to her current role, Goostree held various senior leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, including VP of Investment Products & Strategy for Digital Assets, where she developed enterprise strategies and designed innovative crypto products. During her tenure at Fidelity, she played a critical role in launching products such as Fidelity's Digital Asset Account and the Wise Origin Bitcoin ETP. Her career at Fidelity spanned multiple leadership positions in corporate finance, treasury, and institutional asset management.
Goostree holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and is an advocate and mentor for women in financial services, digital assets, and public service. She was instrumental in the development of NABA and currently serves as an Executive Board member and Treasurer of the organization.
In her position as Executive Director, Goostree will serve as the external face and primary point of contact for NABA, working to build and maintain relationships with member states and strategic sponsors across North America.
As Executive Director, Goostree will be responsible for maintaining NABA policies and oversight while building a platform that highlights the innovative work being conducted by blockchain associations throughout North America. Her leadership will be instrumental in advancing NABA's mission to promote blockchain and digital asset technologies across the continent.
Wade Preston Named Director of Community Outreach
Wade Preston has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Community Outreach, where he will focus on strengthening relationships with member and affiliated states while serving as the primary liaison for state association directors.
As a leader at the Alabama Blockchain Alliance and member of the Alabama Blockchain Study Commission, Preston has been instrumental in positioning Alabama as a blockchain-friendly state. He also works with the state chapter program at Stand With Crypto and has previously served at Defi Education Fund in DC. Preston co-founded a specialty coffee roasting company with multiple locations in Alabama, where he has pioneered accepting cryptocurrency payments and using blockchain technology to improve supply chain transparency. Preston has successfully worked with Alabama lawmakers to advance blockchain-friendly legislation and has hosted educational events to build understanding between regulators, industry participants, and the public.
In his role, Preston will coordinate grassroots efforts to amplify state blockchain associations, establish state chapters that engage directly with constituents and builders in the blockchain ecosystem, and monitor policy developments at both state and federal levels. His responsibilities will include assisting with the development of blockchain study commissions at the state level and providing templates for joint resolutions that support blockchain innovation. His work will serve as the foundation for NABA's marketing and communications efforts, highlighting state-level successes and policy achievements.
